"In Her Head" is a miniature painting in my Lovely Eccentrics series. It features a young girl who seems to be concentrating on something; if we could see inside her mind, we might see something as complex and beautiful as the patterns, words, and the scrolls that surround her. Or, maybe she's thinking about a boy, in which case all bets are off.
This piece was created on a small 5 x 5 inch gallery-wrapped canvas. It includes collage elements like vintage papers, vintage photographs, and a skeletonized leaf; it was also made using acrylic paint, charcoal, pen and ink, and oil crayons. The piece has been sealed with a heavy acrylic varnish for a professional finished look. Also, in person, the green/blue surrounding our thoughtful young lady is a pretty verdigris, and not anything shockingly...neon, like it's appearing on one of my monitors. That monitor is apparently insane.
